Chelsea are “exactly where we want to be” ahead of the Women’s Super League final, manager Emma Hayes has said.
The Blues travel to Reading knowing victory will secure a fourth straight WSL title ahead of second-placed Manchester United.
Hayes said his team were well prepared for these big moments and would face any pressure on the final day.
“We’ve worked hard to get to this point, to be able to play tomorrow,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to playing and playing in front of a strong Chelsea fan base, we need that.
“We are exactly where we want to be, in a position to control our own results.”
Chelsea are two points clear of Manchester United, the only side who can deny Hayes’ side a third straight domestic double, after beating United in the FA Cup final earlier this month.
Failing to win against a Reading side who need victory to avoid relegation could allow Marc Skinner’s United, who visits Liverpool’s midfield, to clinch the title.
It comes at the end of an exciting four-way WSL title race that also involved Arsenal and Manchester City, and Hayes believes the league level was stronger than ever this season.
“When everyone invests those levels of money and finance and has the best professionals, there will be a closing gap every year,” she said.
“This year there have been more teams at a higher level than in previous years, and more games have been difficult.
“But it’s not like we’ve won leagues comfortably in the past, we always knew it was going to be the last game.”
Hayes also paid tribute to Skinner, who guided United to their best ever WSL finish as well as qualifying for the Women’s Champions League for the first time.
The United Director believes that his team has not received enough credit this seasonalthough his Chelsea counterpart believes they are respected in the game.
“I know he will be very proud of them,” Hayes said. “They deserve their place, they had an exceptional year.
“Everyone in the world of football recognizes their quality, and we will respect them by being as ready as possible for tomorrow’s game.
“Marc will build on what they have done and make them even more competitive next year.”
