Elden Ring not hard enough for you? How about spicing things up by ditching your Xbox controller and playing with a baby toy instead?
Dylan Beck, also known as RudeismDIYer and self-proclaimed “weird controller builder”, has managed to transform a Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Play & Learn Controller in a fully functioning Xbox controller. Evidence? A video of him playing Elden Ring with said controller (via The edge). See.

Originally a dummy controller whose only purpose is to light up and make fun (by fun, we mean annoying) sounds, the Fisher-Price has proven to be surprisingly capable in this role. So capable, in fact, that we have no doubt someone will post a video of winning the game with this thing soon.
The Verge has some details on how Beck pulled it off. He put an Arduino Pro Micro clone, a two axis joystick and some micro switches inside the controller to operate the joystick and all the buttons. Due to limited space, Beck was unable to fit the batteries inside, so the controller had to be plugged into a USB port for power.
Rudeism has done similar (and often even more impressive) stunts before. For example, see a video of him beating Dark Souls 3 (for the uninitiated, it’s a very, very difficult game) using a single button to type in morse code. We are impressed.
