Kent has signed Australian international fashion designer Kane Richardson for next season’s T20 Blast campaign.
Richardson, 31, took 200 wickets in 154 T20 matches and won the Big Bash League in his home country.
The right-arm medium-fast bowler has been capped 35 times in T20 international matches and recently represented his country at the T20 World Cup.
This summer he also won 13 wickets in seven games while playing for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.
Richardson said he was “looking forward” to helping Kent bid for a third T20 Blast title.
They have already won the competition in 2007 and 2021, and also won the One Day Cup this summer after beating Lancashire in the final at Trent Bridge.
“I know the club have won both English white ball titles in the past two years and it will be my job to help us carry that momentum into 2023,” he said.
Kent manager of cricket Paul Downton added: “He is an established international bowler who will bring great experience to the club.
“His skills are among the best and he will be an invaluable source of information for our young, developing designers.”
