Lionel Messi will return to Paris St-Germain’s starting line-up on Saturday for the first time since his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Ligue 1 leader, who has suffered three defeats in his last four home matches, faces AC Ajaccio on Saturday.
“He [Messi] will start tomorrow,” said PSG coach Christophe Galtier.
“I spoke with him on Tuesday to see what his state of mind was and I found him very determined to play.”
Messi, who acts as a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia, apologized to his teammates last Friday for making the unauthorized trip.
The 35-year-old returned to training on Monday after being left out of the squad for their 3-1 win at Troyes the day before.
“He is very excited to win this title,” added Galtier.
“With him in the team we will have to adjust to what we did against Troyes. Leo is Leo. I’m not going to go into the stats but when he’s with us we have to find a different balance.”
Messi is expected to leave PSG when his contract expires this summer.
