wonder InstantaneousThe latest update brings two new card pools, a new type of earnable currency, and some pretty significant changes to existing cards. All of these changes are nerfs, and they affect popular cards like Angela, Mysterio, and Onslaught. They will likely impact at least one deck you rely on marvel snapso here’s what you need to know before heading into your next game.
Angela has her power reduced from 1 to 0, apparently because she is just too popular. “Angela is a card that sees a lot of prevalence in many decks,” marvel snap developer Second Dinner said in the game’s patch notes“So we’re nerfing it a bit to make the other options more appealing.”
Destroyer is also getting a power hit, down from 16 to 15. “Reducing his power by 1 will give opponents a higher chance of winning the slot he played,” the developer explains. Mysterio, who deploys illusions in all places, also gets a 1 power shot.”[T]The 2/0 extra illusions end up being very beneficial, so we’re lowering his base power,” the developer explains. Sera also gets a power hit 1, simply for being “a little too good right now”.
Finally, the all-powerful Onslaught, which can put big power numbers on the board thanks to its ability to double the continuous effects of other cards, is getting a major adjustment. Assault ability now additionally stacks (instead of exponentially) with effects from cards like Mystic or locations like Assault Citadel. This should result in less blowouts on the spot as well as less time staring other abilities repeat over and over (and over again).
There’s plenty more – including a new Nick Fury card in the pool 3 collection – to digest the full game patch notes.
marvel snap is now available on Android, iOS and Windows PC.
