Jokic, winner of the last two NBA Most Valuable Player awards, made his 3,680th career assist to surpass Alex English’s record for the franchise.
Former Utah Jazz player John Stockton holds the NBA record with 15,806.
The Nuggets have won eight straight and lead the Western Conference just over halfway through the 82-game season.
They are half a game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies, who tied their winning record by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers for an 11th straight win.
Steven Adams made the winning field goal with 16.6 seconds left as the Grizzlies prevailed 115-114.
