Stephen Gallacher will captain Team Europe at the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup.
The selection process for the European junior team was also announced, with six boys and six girls taking on the United States in Italy from September 26-28.
Half of the boys and half of the girls will qualify through a season-long ranking system, with Gallacher selecting the remaining squad members.
The 48-year-old Scotsman has won four DP World Tour events and was part of the 2014 Ryder Cup-winning European squad.
The first two days of the Junior Ryder Cup, for entrants aged 18 or under, will be played at Golf Nazionale in Rome before the deciding singles matches take place at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in the Italian capital.
Marco Simone’s club will also host the senior Ryder Cup from September 29 to October 1.
“It’s a privilege to be able to lead a team of Europe’s best juniors against America in Rome,” said Gallacher.
“Playing the final day at Marco Simone will be a fantastic experience for our players who will have the opportunity to compete in front of the Ryder Cup audience on the Ryder Cup course for the first time.
“I’m really looking forward to attending some events throughout the year and working with the most exciting future talent in Europe.”
