If you pre-ordered a Steam Deck and waited patiently for it to arrive, we have good news.
Valve provided an update on Steam Deck shipments, saying they’re being manufactured and shipping faster than the company originally expected. Some of the shipments previously dated for the Q4 window are now moved to Q3.
“Steam Deck production continued to exceed our estimates, and we are updating shipping windows for the Steam Deck reservation queue,” Valve said in today’s update. “This means that a group of people who had an estimated Q4 (October-December) order window have been moved to the Q3 window and can expect to receive their email by the end of September. You can check the status of your booking window here (when logged in).
Additionally, Valve said the number of Steam Deck reservations made daily continues to grow and is at its highest level since the handheld launched earlier this year.
“We’re happy to get them to you sooner and hope you enjoy Steam Deck as much as we do,” Valve said. “As always, we love to hear your feedback, impressions, and all the wacky things you do with Steam Deck.”
It’s definitely worth logging into Steam and checking to see if your delivery of the excellent portable gaming PC has been increased.
