The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley, are known not only for their prizes, but also for the news they generate – there are plenty of trailers and world premiere game reveals promised. During Thursday’s event, Keighley handed out awards for the best games of the year between announcement times, including game updates, release dates and new trailers.
Keighley teased the event ahead of Thursday’s broadcast; going into the event, fans knew to expect certain things, like tekken 8 news, a trailer for Destiny 2it is fall of light expansion, and a performance by the band Hozier, which has a song in God of war Ragnarök. Even with all the previews, there were plenty of exclusive game announcements and, of course, Keighley’s world premieres.
