Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to his Nintendo Direct on Wednesday. The new look comes ahead of the game’s upcoming release in May on Nintendo Switch.
The moody trailer showed off a thundering, dark land filled with recognizable Hyrule monsters. Scenes of devastation fill the world as Hyrule Castle crumbles and we see a monster that looks like Ganon rise. Also, at the end of the trailer, Zelda makes a mysterious plea: “Please lend him your power.”
tears of the kingdom is the long-awaited sequel to Nintendo’s 2017 Switch and Wii U hit The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo unveiled for the first time tears of the kingdom at E3 2019. Since then, Nintendo has shown off clips of Link’s next adventure. Previous trailers have shown Link soaring through the skies of Hyrule and teased mysterious details of the world. Additionally, Link now has long, luscious hair and sports a new set of powers, such as the ability to walk through walls.
Last fall, Nintendo finally gave us an official title and release date for tears of the kingdom – although there has been a bit of confusion as to how to pronounce this name. We know how to say the name of the game now, but a lot is left to the imagination of fans and it spawns game-based theories.
