Maxis announced on Tuesday that The Sims 4 will be expanded with two new sets, which are the smallest form of downloadable content for the hugely popular life simulation game. The kits focus on small parts of a Sim’s life – in this case, their underwear and the things they keep around their bathroom. The Simtimates Collection Kit and the Bathroom storage kit will be available on PC and consoles on January 19.
The Simtimates Collection Kit features “fun and flirty contemporary loungewear” with lace, straps and cheeky silhouettes that upgrade the usual set of jammies. Maxis has teamed up with underwear company MeUndies to create modern, flattering pieces for Sims of all sizes.
If that’s not your speed, the Bathroom storage kit adds a ton of extra ways to customize bathrooms, from a set of dentures on the side of the sink to makeup palettes scattered across the counters. Building and creating inhabited spaces is a popular part of the game, so it only makes sense that players would want more variety in their trinkets.
The Sims 4 is the current title of The Sims, and the game still has a lot of life. While Maxis announced that The Sims 5 is in very early development under the code name Rene Projectthe developer has committed to continue development on The Sims 4 because it became free. Players can expect two expansions throughout 2023, as well as smaller updates like these two kits.
