West Ham suffered their fifth successive Premier League defeat after being well beaten at home by Brentford.
Ivan Toney put the visitors ahead with his 12th league goal of the season, before Josh DaSilva doubled the lead.
The Hammers were booed by a frustrated London Stadium crowd, with the defeat keeping them just one point above the relegation zone.
The game also ended on a sour note for Brentford, as Toney was taken off on a stretcher with a knee injury.
The win sees the Bees move up to ninth in the Premier League.
The hammers hit their lowest level in five years
Not since a run between March and April 2017, under manager Slaven Bilic, have West Ham lost five consecutive league games.
Five-and-a-half years later, West Ham have enjoyed many highs under David Moyes – but this defeat puts the Scot’s role in serious doubt.
It’s not just another defeat, but the way the goals were conceded.
Both first-half goals came from West Ham failing to properly defend throw-ins, and both came after periods of the game where they had benefited from good attacking spells.
The opener came in the 18th minute, where a long direct throw from Mathias Jensen was kicked in by Mathias Jorgensen. Christian Norgaard hit his swinging volley well, and after being saved by Lukasz Fabianski, Toney reacted first to follow and stab home.
The second, shortly before half-time, was even worse from West Ham’s perspective. Toney played a single lofted ball over the sleeping home defense from a throw-in near the halfway line.
Da Silva edged and passed Aaron Cresswell to pass and pass Fabianski for his first goal since August.
These teams will meet again in the FA Cup third round on January 7. It remains to be seen whether Moyes remains in charge for this match.
