West Indies have named a squad of 14 for the first two one-day internationals against England in Antigua.
Versatile Hayley Matthews will lead the team in the absence of Stafanie Taylor due to injury.
Senior players Kycia Knight and Shemaine Campbelle return to the squad after injuries kept them out of their final series against New Zealand.
The first ODI is Sunday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. GMT.
West Indies will rely heavily on Matthews’ quality at bat as they struggled to post competitive scoring in their series against New Zealand in September.
They are without star player Deandra Dottin, who played a key role in their batting squad and retired from international cricket earlier this year.
The experience of wicket-sitters Knight and Campbelle will boost West Indies hopes, while setters Shakera Selman and Chinelle Henry will lead the bowling attack.
Uncapped left arm spinner Kaysia Schultz was added to the squad while Shamilia Connell, Kyshona Knight, Natasha McLean and Jannillea Glasgow were left out after the New Zealand series.
The series consists of three one-day internationals and five Twenty20s and is likely to be the only competitive cricket England and West Indies play before the T20 World Cup, which takes place in South Africa in February 2023.
The three ODIs and the first T20 are played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, with the final four T20s being played at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
West Indies team: Hayley Matthews (captain), Shakera Selman (vice-captain), Aaliyah Alleyne, Shemaine Campbelle, Afy Fletcher, Cherry Ann Fraser, Shabika Gajnabi, Sheneta Grimmond, Chinelle Henry, Kycia Knight, Chedean Nation, Karishma Ramharack, Kaysia Schultz, Rashada Williams .
