Meta today announced new updates aimed at helping creators gain more control over their comments section on Facebook.
Creators can now search their comments by keywords and take bulk actions through the comments manager in their business dashboard. For example, you can search for heart and eye eyes emoji in bulk like comments, or search for the word “ugly” and hide them all.
They can then view all of these moderation stats, like how many comments they’ve hidden in the last month, by viewing their information in the moderation assistant’s activity log. The moderation wizard isn’t new, but it will now show creators what criteria must be met to hide comments via the journal’s inline comment preview and criteria tag.
“Creator safety and well-being is the foundation of any creator’s success on Facebook,” Meta’s Jasmine Han said in an email to Mashable. “In addition to these new features, over the past year we have hosted educational programs such as Safety School, provided additional assistance with our in-app Support Center, expanded access to our live chat agent support to eligible creators, as well as rolling out moderation features in the professional mode, so creators can safely interact with their growing community.”
The announcement, which was first reported by TechCrunch(Opens in a new tab)was made on February 7 on Safer Internet Day.
