Ring of Elden is a massive game full of enigmatic and compelling bosses, each with their own tragic tale or misguided motives. But what if you took these characters and contrasted them with Ring of Elden equivalent of 30 to 50 feral pigs? This is the kind of question that academics and intellectuals ask themselves, and VG247 spotted a player brave enough to put him to the test.
BjornTheBear is a YouTuber who likes to put Ring of EldenThe bosses are ready to take the test, with videos like ‘Can ANY boss survive Malenia’s shadow clone army?’ “Can ANY boss survive two meteors from Radahn?” and “How many Rune Bears do you need to defeat Malenia?” For this video, Bjorn took 50 Hungry Hounds from Caelid – specifically, the version that doesn’t inflict rot buildup on the bite, as it would be “too powerful”. All dogs have exactly the same power, and all want nothing more than to bite and squeak at the nearest enemy.
It’s a bit mesmerizing watching a swarm of furious hounds take down bosses like Gideon Ofnir and Godrick the Graft, though other bosses like Maliketh the Blackblade, Morgott the Omen King, and Radahn make quick work of the pack. It’s also no surprise to see even the smallest beasts in the Lands Between ripping through bosses several times their size, because Ring of Elden teems with deadly flora and fauna. Even birds have knives or bombs strapped to their feet.
In December, developer FromSoft released an update for Ring of Elden which opened coliseums for PvP combat. Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki said that more Ring of Elden updates are planned, but the nature of these updates is unclear. Until more information is released, fans are having fun with the base game, including these ridiculous boss fight challenges.
